The Vermont Foodbank and the VSECU:  A Strong Partnership

Barre, VT – Over the years, VSECU has been a strong supporter of the Vermont Foodbank’s charitable mission, through financial gifts and volunteer efforts.  This year VSECU continued to support the Foodbank’s efforts to feed hungry families throughout Vermont by donating $5,000.

“As a long-time supporter of the Vermont Foodbank, VSECU is well-acquainted with their many worthy programs to reduce hunger in Vermont,” said Steve Post, VSECU’s chief executive officer. “As a credit union, we seek to improve the lives of Vermonters, and our Board of Directors strongly believes support of the Foodbank is one of the most effective ways to accomplish our mission. On behalf of VSECU's members, volunteers and staff, I wish to thank the staff and volunteers at the Foodbank for their tireless efforts to feed Vermont's hungry."

Doug O’Brien, CEO of the Vermont Foodbank stated, “For fourteen consecutive years, VSECU has stood by us in our mission.  VSECU is an outstanding example of corporate partnership, and we are proud of our affiliation with such a fine organization.”
