Can Do Competition

South Burlington, Vermont

Canned goods are on display at the University Mall this weekend.

But not just any canned goods. About a dozen teams of engineers and architects have been working on these can creations since the beginning of the year. After this competition, the 18-thousand cans will be donated to the Vermont Food bank in Barre.

Organizers say it takes a lot of hard work to put these together. "You've got to be creative and know how to put all these cans together it takes about a day to build one of the large ones, half day for the smaller ones, it's a lot of teamwork," said Marsha Wilmot with the Society of Design Administration.

The cans will be on display until Sunday afternoon at the U-Mall.
