Inter-American Products, Inc., a division of The Kroger Co., announced a recall on two codes of Private Selection Light Churned Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream


Although the following food recall concerns ice cream that was distributed in regions far from Vermont, as always, please check your inventory and dispose of all recalled items.  There is always the possibility that your program may have received the items in question through local donations, purchases or food drives.  
  ·         On April 7, Inter-American Products, Inc., a division of The Kroger Co., announced a recall on two codes of Private Selection Light Churned Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream in 1.75-quart containers with a "Sell By" date of December 3, 2008.·         The two codes are: DEC0308 8070 and DEC0308 8080.·         The ice cream is being recalled because it may contain egg, soy, and wheat, which are not listed in the ingredient statement. People who have an allergy to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product.·         The ice cream was distributed to Kroger stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.·         No other Private Selection Ice Cream products are affected by this recall.
