Grow an Xtra Row

It's not just for farmers, or people with huge gardens, it's a program for anyone with a home garden who can grow an extra row, or might have some vegetables left over.

What should you grow?
  • root vegetables, like carrots, turnips and parsnips
  • broccoli, cabbage
  • peas, beans, tomatoes
  • radishes, sweet peppers, summer squash
  • lettuce and herbs
  • More!
What's the minimum donation?

Your local food shelf will accept donations of a little or a lot.

How do you prepare your donation, and where do you take it?

Harvest your veggies and wash them off, trimming excess leaves if necessary. Bag them and bring them to your local food shelf. It's easy!

Eating local foods is better for people, the environment, and our local economy.
